Will I always win?

No, not always. The nature of horse racing means there is an element of risk involved and luck can also be a factor. However, Lucky 8 Racing endeavours to assess as many of the risks as possible. It is in our best interest and yours that we provide you with the best quality Hong Kong racing information possible. We strive to win not to lose.

Do you advise how much I should outlay?

No. However we do provide a recommended staking plan with all your selections. The staking plan is expressed in units so that you can apply it to your local currency. The staking plan will ensure that you are betting proportionately and systematically.

Do you offer a betting strategy with your selections?

Yes. When you become a member you will receive our unique betting strategy to use with our selections. The betting strategy can be just as important as the selections themselves. You will find it very valuable to your overall chances of success.

How many race selections do I receive?

Generally half the races on the average Hong Kong race program are viable betting propositions, sometimes more. Lucky 8 Racing will avoid the wrong races and provide you with selections for all the right races to increase your winning potential.

Where do the tips come from?

Greg Maher is the principal analyst for Lucky 8 Racing. He has a wealth of racing industry experience, especially in Hong Kong form assessment. When is the race information available?

Race information will be available two (2) hours prior to the first race on the program for all meetings at Sha Tin and Happy Valley. Please check your local guides for Hong Kong race starting times.

How do I access the racing information?

Simply use your Login details to access the meeting you are interested in. Your Lucky 8 Racing membership is accessible for any Hong Kong race meeting. However, consult your local racing guide first. If you do not want to bet on a particular meeting or are unable to, then your meeting credits will remain intact until the next time you access your account. 

Who should I bet with

It is our recommendation that you have at least one (1) online betting account. However, for value prices, it is far better if you can access two (2) services or more in order to compare prices and give yourself the best chance to secure the value you want. For your win bets we strongly suggest fixed odds services. Links to some of the best online betting sites are provided for you in the member’s area of the website so that you can access their services in conjunction with viewing Lucky 8 race day selections. Please be aware that online betting is illegal in some jurisdictions, always ensure that you comply with laws that may affect you.

Do I have to pay to be a member?

Yes. Please choose the membership package that most suits your needs.

When I purchase online, are my details secure?

Yes. All transactions via our website are processed immediately. All bank transactions are with HSBC Hong Kong and all information which is sent by the client is encrypted. When you are using the online subscription form to enter your details, you will notice a padlock icon on the screen, this means all information is secure and encrypted.

Are all my details kept confidential?

All details that Lucky 8 Racing receives are kept completely confidential and are never given out to any other party without the express permission of the member.

How am I billed for a membership subscription?

Can I join for 1 month?

Lucky 8 Racing membership packs are classified by number of meetings rather than weeks or months. This ensures maximum value for members. For example, Lucky 8 Racing offers a membership of 8 meeting credits rather than 1 month. This ensures that you can use your credits when it suits you, not necessarily within 1 month.

What are the advantages of joining for longer terms?

Longer term memberships with Lucky 8 Racing are substantially discounted and also feature the advantage of not being time lapsed. The expiry date of your package only occurs when you have used all your meeting credits. Longer term subscriptions ensure that when you feel like having a bet, you are more likely to have enough meeting credits to do so.

When does my membership subscription expire?

You can find out about your subscription and renewal information by logging in to your Account.

Can I cancel a subscription?

Yes, you can cancel a subscription, however as per our terms and conditions, Lucky 8 Racing membership packages are non-refundable.

Can I get a refund?

Lucky 8 Racing subscription packages are non-refundable, although you can of course cancel your subscription at any time to avoid making any future payments. You will continue to receive the service you originally signed up for until the end of that subscription period.

How do you plan on keeping me informed?

Our primary method of communication with our members is via our website where we review recent Hong Kong race meetings and results, issues relevant to our members and information on racing and betting in general.
